The fifth annual New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival presented by Malouf Auto Group will be held on August 26, 2007 at Monmouth Park Racetrack. 

There will be 4 stake races and $700,000 in purses for New Jersey-bred horses competing during the New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival.  The feature race on the card will be the $125,000 Charles J. Hesse Handicap to be contested at 1 1/16 for three year olds and up. 

We are excited that MONMOUTH PARK will once again be the host for this important event,” said Mike Campbell, executive director of the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association of New Jersey.  “THE NEW JERSEY THOROUGHBRED FESTIVAL has grown in stature each of its first four years and we look forward to another successful day of racing in conjunction with MONMOUTH PARK and Malouf Auto Group for 2007.”

In addition to the exciting races, the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association of New Jersey has partnered with the National Four-In-Hand Club, the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, Monmouth Park, The New York Coaching Club, ReRun, and the Monmouth County Park System  in bringing a historic three-day coaching drive, The Monmouth Coaching Invitational.

The Monmouth Coaching Invitational will begin on Friday, August 24 with the Rumson Coach Drive and will be followed that evening by a benefit concert at Two River Theatre featuring the John Pizzarelli Quartet.  The Middletown Coach Drive will be held on Saturday and will be followed by the Monmouth Conservation Foundation's 30th Anniversary Dinner Dance.  The weekend will end with the Rumson-Little Silver-Oceanport Coach Drive that will lead to a parade of coaches at Monmouth Park.
