Jersey Girl was born on March 16, 1995 at Brookside Farm in Colts Neck.  She sold for $220,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-olds in training sale and raced during her career for Ackerley Brothers Farm and trainer Todd Pletcher.  Jersey Girl was a versatile filly who won at distances ranging from 5 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles. She captured the Astoria Stakes at 2 and was 7 for 7 as a 3-year-old, including Grade 1 wins in the Acorn Stakes, Mother Goose Stakes, and Test Stakes. 

As a broodmare her most successful runner to date is multiple graded stakes winner Jersey Town, who was victorious in the Cigar Mile Handicap-G1 and Kelso Handicap-G2.

Jersey Girl was inducted in the New Jersey-bred Hall of Fame in 2014.
